Sorry I have no other ideas , maybe Scouser has a trick up his sleeve and he can help you out tomorrow :)

Dunno if you tried this :

If you have a mobile phone with a camera, switch it to camera mode. Point the remote at the camera lens and press some buttons , and you should see the infra-red LED flashing on the screen. If you don't see it flashing, then yes, the remote is dead.If you do see it flashing, then it's not the remote.

So do I :) Sounds like the remote sensor is loose have you checked that it is mounted properly?

Although reading back it sounds like you have an EV2 and if you flashed it with the EV2 fix firmware the old EV2 remote wont work you need a Max remote.

Sorry something seems to be wrong with post times today??

As I said you flashed it with the EV2 fix and your old remote wont work with that firmware you need to get a Max remote as that is essentially what your EV2 now is.

i wonder if anyone can help me, basically this is my setup
i have my cable box connected to a standard splitter 3 way ie 2 in 1 out on the other in i have it connected to a 4 way splitter and the out to a tv for freeview reception, then i have a lead connecting the out of one of the 4 ways to my spare tv/dvd/freeview player the reception on the player was very good. then i decided to connect my spare satellite box by putting a splitter in between and run it down the same cable i get decent picture of my cable and satellite but now the freeview is having reception problems ie picture freezing.what i am asking is that is there a booster which i can use for a better picture. cheers for any help.

hi guys looking for some help , i own a eurovox max v and i am having probs flashing it . my laptop does not suit the cable i got with the eurovox so i bought a USB CONVERTOR cable which joins the nine pin cable, and when i try to flash it just says WAITING ON RECIEVER or words to that effect , is it the cable that is the prob ?
