HI there everyone... I hope this is in the right fourm I was having trouble figureing out which this was supposed to belong to.

On my Sony Vaio I have the Click to DVD program. Everything works fine, converting files and such. But when I go to burn the disc it says that the files are to big and asks if I want them resized to fit the disc and I saw yes as I don't want to remove files.

But then when the disc burns it goes until there is about two minutes left and then says there has been an error. It doesn't specify what the error is or anything though

    Please help.
    Thanks in Advance.

I am not familiar with "Click to DVD", but it seems like a bad burn. If your software did not "shrink" the compilation enough and it burned too close to the edge of the disc, that information might be inaccessible. Can you customize the output size? If yes, set it to 4300Mb. If not, use somethin like the free DVD Flick for your conversions. ImgBurn is one of the best and free DVD burning software.

Question about ImgBurn, is there a tutorial for it anywhere? Like a really easy to follow one?
I'm not really good with things like this. Thank you.

I tried DVD Flick but when I converted the files and tried to use them in imgburn it errored.

Unless I was doing something wrong which is completely plausible.

What do you mean it errored? If it was a failed burn, could be the media, the burner's firmware...That's most of the time. Have an error log?

Imgburn only burns iso, so the file(s) need to be in iso format. Imbburn will convert avi to iso in the mode tab, click then hit build. to burn reclicl mode tab and then hit write. Now write the iso of the avi file. If confused, try this guide

That could be because you saved as an folder on your hard disk and trying to use ImgBurn in "Write" mode. If you saved as an ISO with DVD Flick, you use "Write" mode, if you save as a folder, you use "build" mode.
Or it is possible that you were not trying to burn the Video_TS folder, the one that actually contains your movie, but instead the log files from DVD Flick.

I think you were meaning "DVD Video" files, not AVI. He is not planning to burn a data DVD(unless I miss understood). ImgBurn will not convert Avi to DVD.
When DVD Flick is done converting, it creates a folder with a bunch of files that are of no use(a bunch of *txt and some other log files), and inside the same folder is another folder, that contains the VOB,IFO and BUP files that need to be burned to disc. Most people try to burn the log files and get the "wrong file format" error.

It looks like incompatibility between your discs and burner. Do you have the latest firmware for your burner?
Try different discs, buy some Verbatim.
