Digivox in Ireland

thanks joey, is this the v4.5. if so it does work on mmds and 'true' cable. but it will only work on the new starview 'the box' !
if its not then can u forward it on to me. thanks

 

Hi,
Has anyone had a problem after downloading the software? I have downloaded the digivox_z20070101_v2500_api and restarted but now the display now reads CHdl and the unit is not booting, there is no output on the TV. Any help is much appreciated.

hi pajo. I was told when I got my box not to upload any software other than what was provided as 'CHdl' could come up and this means that the box is knackered !!
Ill try and find the exact info i got and post it for u !

hi Mainamn - I suspect it might be the version for 'the box' given that its so new. I never actually got to ask what the version was as he was working and couldn't stay long on the phone. I'll double check with him and let you know.

just hooked my new digibox up to my tv. I have ch*rus tv and the box isnt finding any channels. What do I need to do??? guy that sold it to me hasnt got a clue how it works. cheers

 

do an auto scan and make sure emu is on !

I have emu on. When I autoscan the providers available Im getting a grey info box saying 'no programmes found'. Ch*rus is not one of the providers listed. Do I need to manual scan if so what data do I enter for Down frequency, Symbol rate & Constellation.

thanks a mill left it updating over night cause it was taking hours. this morning I have tv. Appreciate the help.

 

Hi sandieh,no problem and glad u have tv back.
But it shouldnt have taked 'hours ' only a couple of minutes or so !
Next time if its updating for more than 5 mins or goes over 280% or there abouts, knock it off at the back and it should just pop on for u. it seems like it was caught in a 'loop' of some kind.
At least its working now and thats the main thing .....
come back again if your stuck.......

 

it went to over 3000% just gone through the channels and it hasnt found any sports(other than setanta) or movies channels. Do I need to do something else to pick them up?

 

dont let it go to 3000% . no need ( as i said it was in a loop)
I think u will have to manualy scan in sports ch's or movies !
( with ch**us u are not guaranteed all the channels )
first make sure your emu is on and recheck ur codes !
There is a list of freq for certain channels on this link
they may work for u !

thanks for that found alot of stations with the frequencies listed. also played around a bit and found most movies n sports on 280.00, 290.00,300.00

Dont know if its any help to people with ch*rus in dublin but the following freq. located channels for me:

280.00, 290.00, 300.00, 305.00, 307.000, 312.00, 314.00, 315.00, 320.00, 34.700,387.00, 371.00,379.00, 411.00, 427.00

Symbol rate on all was 6875

how come u are using 4.0 as i thought 250 was latest for digivox??

 

v2500 is the latest software! I think its a typo on joey's part....

 

Hi All, I bought a Digivox last week, think it's using the latest version of the SW but not sure: in sys info is says SW Version V02-2.00BK.

Anyway, when I got it, the guy who sold it to me had already scanned all channels in, so worked fine, I was deleting some channels from the Channel edit menu, because there were duplicates and I deleted some by mistake so I though I'd delete all and rescan, when I did that it only picked up 60 channels and NO sports or movies, which is why I got the box, it also failed to pick up RTE or any other Irish channel. I don't have an NTL box, just the cable from the wall. Any ideas how I get my channels back? I had been able to get a sports channel back after I deleted it before, but this time I cannot.

 

Sorry, figured out how to do this, with the help of above info. Stil some channels are scrambeled, so if there is a way to get rid of that I'd like to know. Help if you can, rest if you cant.
