yamscol.....I got the video you wanted in a matter of seconds. And i did it without using any programs. In the last 20 responses on this thread you should have read how to get the video without having to use any extra programs.

Either way try here... IE/Firefox guide

The thread is very interesting but I haven't found a way to download videos from this site: http://www.medici-arts.tv/
The only page info that appears is main.swf with no address, no link, whatsoever. Looking in the page source does not help either. I tried several Firefox add-ons but without success either. None of them was able to find the link to the videos.

tokjdm - I downloaded one of the videos fine using Replay Media Catcher. Works great, all you have to do is hit record then go to the page you want. It starts recording then you can go to record another video or close out while it finishes recording.
It is a pay version but someone downloaded it on bittorrent, check the last page for that.

Some of those video links don't bring up any video so there is nothing there to download.

Hi, I am a newbie here.

I would love to download the embedded files here:
    http://www.abc.net.au/tv/sideshow/video/s2010636.htm

But they link to http://www.abc.net.au/tv/sideshow/video/swf/vidPlayer.swf which is not the actual file.

I have tried the page info method and using a number of firefox extension like amazing media browser, download embedded, Ook etc and they either do not work with the website or they only download the player and not the actual file.

Any help would be appreciated, my sound card is playing up but if I can download them I can convert with SUPER and watch them on my MP4 player while I save up for a new sound card

    Thanks, Harriet

    Downloaded the *.swf file from:

    http://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/Mocha_Tut_1/Tutorial/mocha.html

However I have no idea how to view the file properly with UltraEdit, it is just ... scrambled text, and not in the format posted before as simple as "..#@$i0ke.FLV3#@$.." where you can find the file name clearly.

Anyone kind enough please show me a hint of how to get the real FLV file from this site, as their site are extremely slow while streaming. Thanks first.

    Hi,
I have two URL's that I have tried and followed all kinds of threads to get them downloadable so I can make a DVD. My wife has vacuumed the floor beneath me twice from all the hair I have pulled from my head. These are the url's of the two videos:
    http://lads.myspace.com/videos/vplayer.swf?video=true&a=1&m=15913871
    http://lads.myspace.com/videos/vplayer.swf?video=true&a=1&m=16796817

This is the page where the two videos are located:
    http://about-acai-swicki.eurekster.com/acai+berry+florida+university/

I am at my wit's end! How do I make them a file instead of just a link so that I can burn them to dvd?

Many, many thanks in advance for any and all help given!

pxd....Go the website that has the mocha video tutorial, let the vidoe load, then check your temporary internet files folder, and look for a file named tutorial.flv then drag and drop that file to your desktop.

Here is how to get to you temporary internet files folder.

    For Internet Explorer:

    Tools-->Internet Options-->Setting-->View Files

Next click where it says Name that will put all the files in order by name, then look for the file named tutorial.flv

For better instructions click here a guide for IE at the bottom of the guide is a link for Firefox.

I just did this method in IE so I know it works. I am not using IE7 but if you are it should still be the same, generally.

It appears to make the streaming video stall. Any further advice?

    Thanks

pxd, I was able to download the tutorial video fine on my computer using the program I listed.
It saved as this file - 3EA87D03_tutorial.flv and plays fine.

harrietj are you saying you can download the video but it just does not play smoothly?
If that is the case then I'm not sure what the problem is.
Maybe reboot and don't run any programs in the background.
