All you need can be found here, just get a null modem cable and ask away.

OK. you are right most things are better ifyou learn to do them by yourself, I'm a bit anxious and was hoping someone could do it for me, but I'll have the cable and be all ready to try by this evening. To anyone else thinking of buying eurovox, there does seem to be many on sale ready flashed and also supplied with all cables. I made mistake of buying one that wasn't so had to search for f to coax adapter and now null modem cable and then have to learn how to do it, so be careful where you buying and check these things out first i guess.

Most boxes are sold without the updated firmware but come with FTA firmware loaded for legal reasons. Learning how to do it is part of the fun.

Just note the frequency it comes in on delete the particular station and then do a manual scan on that frequency, it should appear fixed at the bottom of your channel list.

Not 100% as I only use the TV channels :)

There is another new update I have just posted today for the Max V http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/578790

Managed to sort that bit out, it didn't like the fact that the box had power to it. I tried without power and then switched it on and hey presto a successful download. Now all I have to do is connect it to the wall. My instructions said press 1 for T/W or 2 for N*L I've never had S*X before what number is best?

Now I am confused. Did all of this...
Turn on the box and press menu.
Press the right button to highlight CONFIG.
Use the down arrow to highlight CLEAR DATA.
Press OK and when asked for PIN enter 1004.
Use the down button to highlight FACTORY DEFAULT and press OK on the remote control.
Select 1 for T/W or 2 for N*L and press OK twice.
Press the right arrow to select FULL SCAN and press OK on the remote control. LEFT IT FOR 3 HOURS AND NOTHING
Plugged V***gin box back in and everything OK.
    HELP

If the firmware was successfully downloaded. Please press menu, config and sysytem info so I can check. Also what provider are you on, i.e. exC**, N** or telepest.

No problem. Make sure your coax cable is plugged into the RF in socket on the back of the box. Then press menu, installation, user installation, press yellow button, change to full powerscan using the > key on remote. Let it scan this will take a while.

This looks exactly like the process I have already followed (twice) once with card in and one with card out)..Just noticed card has N*L on it DUH...Are the channels supposed to show as they are found?
