I presume you did a rescan without the attenuator connected?

The local distribution point in your area is probably a green cab on the road. If you are quite close to it your signal will be quite strong dependent on your termination point within the cab.

They will move you down the line and probably add a tap, (attenuator).

Yes i agree it must be a provider prob!Once it is resoled with your vbox it should be plain sailing with the pvr.
As i had a very similar prob till the output was moved in the green box up the road.

    hi,

I have a eurovox ex5000 pvr in a red box. I put the UFL_ex5000_v1.1a. software on it and then tried to scan for channels but it finds nothing at all. No TP either. I'm in st helens, merseyside on VM. Any help would be appreciated. THX

Before starting make sure your feed is pluged into the RF in and NOT the ANT at the back of the box.

Do a factory default, then on installations click user installation then ok, enter pin 0000, Yellow button for powerscan,

Start at 100.000 stop at 850.000, first symbol rate 6952, leave the other three symbol rates 0.000, step on 8 then press ok to scan.

Hey I got my new PVR box with the hdd as part of a package. I flashed the box and its working perfectly. Unfortunately it doesnt recognise the hdd when its inserted. I've tried rebooting etc etc but to no avail. It's a western dig 120gb and supplied as a package so it should be fine. Anybody got any ideas?

    Thanks

What message are you receiving that makes you think its not working?

Try pressing the pause button on the remote and see what happens. This should start a recording and when you go back to the pvr menue you will see a recording.
By default when there is no recording on your hdd you will receive the message no hdd.
It does not mean that its not working.
    Good luck!

Thanks for replying. When I hit pause it says "hard drive is full or not inserted" - the same happens if I selected a program and try set it to record.

There's defo nothing on the HDD. When I go into PVR manager there is nothing in there at all.

Hi, wonder if anyone can help with a Eurovox Max V cable box. It used to work fine but has been switched off for months. I have put it through it's autoscan which it completes, however it sticks on message "Please wait code being updated" for ever with no result.
Any suggestions from anyone would be much appreciated.
