Can anyone tell me how to fix the time on an ex 1000sl.

Hi guys just wondering have a EURUOX MAX V dont know much about these models as it was my sons who is no moved out in system information it says DVB-XCBOXV TDA S/W VERSION 1.0 STC4 APR 2008 H/W VERSION 2.0t K5 Is there any new firmware for n hell ireland dub. Or do you know if this is a clone . Thanks for any info.

hi scouser. i've installed the fix for pvr5000 and all is fine except there are a few channels which are showing scammbled. Any idea why or how to remedy it.I had disne- channell and adjusted for150 mhz and now hey are scambled. thanks scouser in anticipation

 

I also have the EX5000 PVR and have applied the patch,factory reset, ran a scan and it only found 10 channels. I then ran a deep scan it it has now found all the channels ( they are all listed when i press the TV button on the Eurovox remote ) but they are all coming up 'scrambled channel'. I'm on NTHell Dublin. Any ideas please?
See other thread suggesting to press Menu, Language and the 1968 ?? Where does the 1968 come into it. I get 4 options and all are set to English and Emulation is set to Enable. I can't get where the 1968 is entered? Any ideas.

Hi guys,I have just flashed a ex1000.it went through download ok and powered off and back on again.I then unplugged it and plugged it at another power point and it has not power up since.Anyone got any ideas.I have flashed lots of these boxes never had this happen before.Its definately not a clone.Please any help greatly appreciated.

 

Some clones are hard to tell by as they do not have the heatsink on the CPU. When you power it up can you hear a slight clicking noise or is it totally dead?

 

Hi Scouser,Its not a clone he got 4 together any the others are all ok.There is no clicking noise out of it.I have open it up and when I pull up the main ribbon cable coming from the PSU to the main board and just barely just plug it in I get the LED blue light on but the PC cant see it so I dont think its the PSU.

 

Sounds like a hardware issue but strange just after a firmware update? Try unplugging all the ribbon cable connections obviously with the box unplugged. The push them all back home firmly.

Is there a small reset button on the main board? Looking at the internals of the faulty box do they look any way different to any of the working boxes.

I know I am asking a lot but it will help others. While you are there could you take a few pics

Got that sorted ,but now have another problem a friend of mine asked me to sort out his ex5000 pvr but i dont seem to be able to get a successful flash im wondering if its a clone i know there is somewhere in here to show which ones are clones but cant seem to find it could you please point me in the right direction.

appreciate the input scouser My head is a little wrecked over this.Yes there is a reset switch on the main board but does nothing.The only thing it does is make the LED flicker when the ribbon cable is barely inserted.Cant posted pics at the moment but will when i get a chance.Do you know if they can be jtagged.

 

@Gazza196 Here are some pics of a clone 1000SL courtesy of HiTeck http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f...lso_nagra_2_fix_for_ireland-674371/85#4763070 the heatsink should be similar on an EX5000 clone.

However some clones are hard to spot and it makes it harder to decipher which are clone and which are genuine. Its always down to forums like this and others to do the investigative work to eventually spot the differences.

I have only seen one supplier helping out with pics of clones versus genuine boxes. That was Zemme from Dvbjunkie. I never advertise or recommend sellers, (bar TMC for jtags), but he is the only one giving something back to the forums.

Yes it can be jtagged. I will swap you a few pics for how to jtag it

Only joking yes it can be jtagged google tailormadecircuits for the Eurovox Jtag kit. It comes with full instructions. Not sure if Mash has now included the 1000SL TSOP or not now but you will find it in Eamos at the end of my post.

Thanks scouser for that information will look into it.I have looked at those pics carefully and I am sure its not a clone.I have jtagged a few eurovox red and blue before but was not sure if the 1000 could be.Have to try and find where i but the kit now lol.Do you know of anyone who has done an ex1000 lately.I will let you know how i get on and I will try to post pics later.Cheers

 

Sc0user, Thanks for the cdf file. I'll try that tonight.
Do I need to do a factory reset before I put the cdf file onto the Eurovox. Sorry if this is a stupid question but if your answer is yes that I have to do a factory reset, will this effect the firmware. ie. will I have to reload the latest Nag2 fix first? Thanks in advance.

 

I think we need a new guide with all the fixes for time and the extra channels as the information is all over the forum and would be better off in a new thread.

Had a look inside that ex5000pvr today doesnt appear to be a clone judging by the photos so i tried to reflash it again and it seemed to go all right dnld started to flash straight away the first part ended ok but on the writing part it stopped flashing for about 20 seconds and started again and download successful appeared so i took it to my tv and still nothing 1 or 2 fta channels looked for the secret menu ie lang settings,english lang, 1968 and nothing .Any ideas stuck at the moment ,i think that maybe its a clone ,but would it still work after flashing if it was.
