I have updated page one with regards this question being asked so often so read this info http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371#4103005 If you have any problems after let us know.
hi, update on last request, managed to get tps and channel list came on, but how long does code update last. made mistake somewhere? any help please.
Instructions on how to install the Driver, 1.Turn on computer and make sure USB port is available. 2.Plug in USB connector to USB port. 3.The "Add New Hardware WIzard" should appear (if not, then you can 4.open the wizard from the Control Panel) 5.Click "Next" 6.Select "Search for the best driver for your device" 7.Click "Next" 8.Windows will ask you to specify the location of the driver. Please select "Specify a location" 9.Use "Browse" to find the driver in the CD-ROM drive (or wherever the file is located on your hard drive) 10.Click "Next" and then your done. Try that if it's still not working get to a PC with a 9 pin male serial socket so that you dont have to use the USB adaptor.
Thanks for the reply HiTeck. I ended up buying a new adapter and it worked fine so I got that problem solved. I downloaded the firmware onto the box and scanned as outlined on page 1. All seemed to go well but when it finished scanning a message appeared saying "please wait, code being updated". It seems to be frozen as it's been like that for around 40 mins. any suggestions?
Turn the box off at the mains, turn it back on and go to sly sports 1 and wait, it should update within 1 min.
[quot e=HiTeck]No problem, Glad your sorted! [/quote] i also would like to say thank you HiTeck, i was following your advice to New Fish and got box sorted, sorry for delay in replying but had to go and earn a crust, again thank you,
Theres no need to say sorry neither is their any need to thank me, information is free from this forum without thanks but all the same thankyou for letting us know
Hi i've recently bought a EUROVOX EX1000SL. For my quality i have 8%, could somebody expand on this for me,I don't really understand the soluton for this?
Have you put the latest firmware on it? if so after you flashed it did you do a factory default and then a powerscan using your correct symbol rate. make sure your feed is in the RF in and not the ANT socket.
Yes I put the firmware from the first page on, is that the latest? I did a factory defualt then did a powerscan using the correct symbolfor my area code rught? my feed is in RF in. After I did the scan I got all channels i think, most channels are fine but a few channels are skipping, so they are not coming properly, is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening?
Check all your connections are fine, try taking any splitters out or replacing them with a better quality type or try a signal booster you can get them cheap off eb@y. got to head off best of luck.
The wires were a bit messy at the back of my tv, i sorted that out, and the channels are working fine now, Thanks a lot for the help. Here's some advice for others. 1. I recommend the Eurovox EX1000SL, it is very small and looks good. 2. My fuse was faulty in the plug,so I had to replace it,so if no lights come on, check the fuse in the plug. 3. Don't have messy wires, try and keep things neat and tidy. Btw, could somebody tell which boxes have two tuners, so you can watch channel whilst recording another channel. I know the eurovox's only have one tuner. Thanks.
Glad to see you have tidied up and all is well, as regards a two tuner box, The Starview PVR has two tuners, but you are better off judging for yourself. >>> http://www.afterdawn.com/hardware/product_details.cfm/2568/starview_pvr_readytwin
