I have been using the details in this thread to scan for channels on Eurovox EX500 PVR. My location is Trim, County Meath (ch*r*s). I have updated the firmware with the version dated 08-07-08 and scanned on Symbol Rates 6887,6952 & 6875 but have failed to get any transponders.

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help

Has it been flashed, in system info S/W Ver should be 15 july, if not look on page 1 of this thread for flashing guide and bring it up to date.

HiTeck, the hat's off to ya (doffs cap)

Easiest update manual that i've seen, I was even able to follow it.
Only thing that MIGHT be worth mentioning is that the Blue box firmware will not allow itself onto a red box and vice versa. I've always held back from upgrading cos i never knew which was which

Either way, cheers, all channels back and working fine

Take a look at HiTeck's guide directly above your first post. You will also find info in Eamos at the bottom of his post.

this happened to me.i turned it off, and back on again, after the scanning, and tried a few of those other numbers (somebody help me here, not too sure what they are) that you have to change. just try turn it off then scan for each of these numbers and the transponders will come mate. someone help me, what are them numbers called? (in work...)

look along the vents at the top of the box(from the rf in)you will see the tuner,if the tuner measures 12 vents its a blue box,if its 8 its a red,be careful if its blue that its not a clone, you will get info on this also in eamos library.
