    Go into device manager, increase the Baud rate and allocate it to com port 1/2/3 or 4.

    Worked for me.

    Hi

    You need to change the Usb port drive Between 1-4.

    Go to my computer/properties/hardwere/Devisemanager.

    Findout the port that the usb is connected.

    If its more than Port 4 then the download will not recognise it.

    Right click on the USB drive and changeit to free port between 1 to 4.

    Then try download again.

    Hello. Can anyone help, went out and got a rs232 female to female cable and a rs232 to usb as well. Went to put the firmware on.Changed the com port, so that the firmware software would find the cable. But when i clicked the download button it would take me to a boot mode window were i would have to choose which com port the cable was on. So i done that, then it would come up with. Waiting for receiver. Was told to pull plug out of back, but still no luck. So put new codes in but went down again today. Can anyone give me some help with firmware, new codes. Many thanks

    my uncle gave me his euro-vox max to update for him but i havent a clue about this machine i'm used to re-play and star-view.
    So any help will be greatly appreciated as to what i have to do.....
    Its a euro-vox max, S/W version 1.0 STC4 Feb 21 2007, H/W version 2.0t, Bootstrap v002, i'm in Dublin aswell.

    Check that you have the correct leads, see excellent post by HyTech http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/9/650852

    In the meantime pick your supplier and try these

    NTHELL - [17/04/2008]
    KEY 00 = 88 D4 F7 FE 5A 41 91 EC
    KEY 01 = DB 7E 88 CA 37 E3 93 83

    00 = 88,D4,F7,FE,5A,41,91,EC
    01 = 8A,6B,42,56,D5,E3,83,1E REVISED NTL
    Seems to be some conflicting info re-line 01


    EX CW- [17/04/2008]
    KEY 00 = A0 89 3B CB 45 21 A7 53
    KEY 01 = F2 73 A9 0F 26 09 69 0A

    I did exactly the same and its working OK. Mine took about half hour though.

    Hi guys, i'm new to doing all this. All i have done before yesterday was a power scan. Anyhow i updated the box with the new firmware yesterday and eventually got the box to find channels and update code, was saying insert smart card for a while. What did this firmware upgrade actually do? It lost all its provider info.

    I am in Warrington on V1rgin, or ex NTHell, Or Ex Cab Wire. Which provider code should i be using? I am using the code 54 01. Should i be using 5A 01???

    Does using the wrong Provider Code give you less channels? When i scanned last night i only got 215 chans. Normally get 230 - 240. I know Sky Sports Xtra was definitely missing. How can i get these back?

    Dont know if my box has gone off today as I have been i work, will check later.

    hi !! ive got a Eurovox max v 2008 and when i plug in i get a few green lights but thats it then the lcd goes off ,with the help of a lot of brill people on here i know what the problem is ,i need to Jtag it , could anyone plz give me a step by step or a link i can go to sort this out .cheers !

    The black box went down today aswel. I have tried the codes suggested on the thread but to no luck.

    I live in North London, Telewest/Virgin. Please can someone help with the provider code and key00 and key01.

    does anybody which firmware i need for a Eurovox Max in Dublin???
    S/W version 1.0 STC4, H/W version 2.0t, Bootstrap v002
    and which software do i need to use to load the firmware onto the box?? i have all the leads so i'm ready and waiting.. thanks
