Eurovox Max problem

Ok, I've just got my channels back, but now I have left it updating code for the past 12hours and it still hasn't done anything....
Only one channel works - "City Channel"

Please help...

What firmware are you using. Press menu, config and system info. Post the SW version please.

How did you have channels in the first place That firmware is quite old, looks like a Blue 2006 model. Please have a look at the guide here to verify your box type and how to update it.

 

Like i didnt have one channel at all, but now ive like 100 or so but it just says "updating code", only two channels work "city channel" & "setanta ireland".
Is there any other way of getin it to work, with a code or anyhthing as I dont have a computer to connect to it, just in a internet cafe now.

Sorry but we cannot help on the code front, can you borrow a PC to update?

 

Ya I can try and get someones laptop, what type of wire do i need to get??

Am looking for help for a lad I know.

He has the Eurovox Max V

His basic terrestial TV is with N*L and he is in North Dublin - Finglas.

He previously had around 130 odd channels but has lost a few.

He has since erased all channels and tried to rescan them all in again.

He tried it from 290 to 420 and also from 290 to 460 on symbol rate 6.887.

He is only getting 51 channels the last few times he has tried it.

What can he do?

I live on the other side of the city to him, so dont know what year or colour box his Eurovox came in or what firmware he has on his box.

Any idea on how I can find out what firmware he has and also any other details you need and how do I go about getting him to get them for you.

Tell him to do a factory default and then a scan without any splitters inline using symbol rate 6887 start at 290 finish at 420.

 

I'm also in Finglas area and I find when doing a power scan sometimes it only picks up the first 5 transponders(frequencies).
When you wait for half an hour or so you usually picks the rest up. If he is getting 51 channels I'm presuming his firmware is up to date.

 

I have flashed some eurovox's for friends and on some of them i was only getting maybe 11 or 12 of the 13 transponders, I found downloading a cdf for your provider got me the rest of the channels I'd be missing. Just an idea

 

Barm do you have your CDF saved on your PC for Finglas, if so why not upload it HERE, then share it with Gillers, (if he has'nt already got it sorted

O.K. i seem to be having a small problem on my Eurovox.

Nearly every film that i watch has got the Blind function on {where there is someone talking throughout the film, describing what is happening}

Is there any way to turn this feature off in the settings somewhere? as i cant seem to find anywhere.

 

Press the red button (lang) and select alternate audio stream.

see im NOT the only blonde on here lol! i to had the same problem a long while back , could not understand why i had audio discription on certain channels - my Autistic son had put it on but had no idea how to get rid of it - did similar thing with subtitles to.

2 things that most of us take for granted and dont use so dont know how to turn them on/off!!

Glad you got it sorted, so now if a channel comes up and its on AD you know how to revert it back!

 

I've got the same problem but when I press the red button all that comes up is AUDIO with ENGLISH below it????
