Well... Its not exactly a legal trade is it?
They(broadcasting authories) are tryin their best to catch the suppliers or anyone associated with this "bussiness" and together with the law... Hefty fine...prosocution.. and almost certainly jail.
No wonder everyone is up in arms!
It'll do you no harm to learn how to DIY... if it gets to a stage that the change the Keyroll Programs so often You;ll need to know this!! Just look at the forums.. some may be able to talk you through the process if you are lucky!

This is the XP method, I would imagine the Vista method is similar

1) Right click the My Computer icon on your deskop and click Manage.
2) Click device manager.
3) Click the (+) next to Ports (COM and LPT)
4) Right click the Com port you are using (in your post you're saying it's Com 4). Click Properties, Port Settings tab, then click Advanced.
At the bottom of this dialog box there is a drop down menu that lets you set the port number you want to assign this device to

Are you using a usb to serial adapter?
If so have you tried changing to a different usb port?

 

hi guys
i bought a universal remote as too many gadgets, too many remotes and missus makes a fuss, so thought one nice tidy one for basic operations was a smart idea. I can get everything working off it apart from eurovox (max, black 2008). Does anyone know codes for it or way of tuning it in, or if its similar to any other make?Spent ages on it.

what kind of remote did you by as i m looking 4 one for same reason.

 

am using laptop ,adapter and cable , in device manager there are no port settings tried that method you posted , thanks anyway

 

Is there any way to autosort the channels after powerscan? Besides uploading from PC.
