Get rid of the InCD program, somehow causes problems when burning DVD movies.
    update your firware here.

Thanks a lot. I'm going to try this. I just don't get it, I never had this problem before, and I would always burn at 16x.

Well to start with you are using crappy discs, CMC mag discs are possibly the worst you can buy and their production is too inconsistent. It is recommended to burn at half the disc speed and thats with GOOD quality discs.

Heres something on CMC mag discs...normally memorex or Ritek

Great Info, like I said though, just weird. I had over 400 burns with no errors using Memorex and TDK discs on my samsung burner. I still have it installed but the laser is going on it. I installed this new burner...and errors started happening.

    just one more thing:

your version of Nero 6 is not the stablest version.... 6.6.0.18 is the most stablest version of Nero 6 and I would update it to that version. Here's how:

Before udating to 6.6.0.18 I would save the serial #, uninstall Nero, then use the cleaning tools : http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/eng/Clean_Tools.html
then do a registry clean up(free registry cleaner, CClean: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1) and defrag...... then reboot!

    install package one:
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_burning_rom/?539

    then install package two:
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/Patch_for_NVE3.html
reboot and you're good to go!

this is what I would do along with changing the crappy media, slow the burning speed down because of the crappy media and adjust the total writing to 4300MB instead of 4426MB because of the crappy media!

I have a Lite-On LH20A1P and get excellent burns with TY Yuden T0002 or Verbatim MCC04 media up to 18X; however I usually burn at 8X or 12X with firmware KLOG. Never tried the 20X yet, but will soon.
