I don't have CloneDVD2, only used the trial and it has long expired, but yes IMHO it is better than shrink quality wise but not price wise (of course).Of the backup apps I own or have tried here is my order of preferance. 1)RB/CCE (own) 2)Intervideo DVDCopy3 (own) 3)CloneDVD2 (trial only) 4)Nero Recode 2 (own) 5)DVD Shrink (seldom use) 6)DVDXCopy Xpress (own, never use) I don't understand the question and may not be qualified to answer anyway since I don't have the proggy.
Mort 81, I know Rebuilder is free but, I tried downloading it and setting it up but, It seems the user guide is out dated. It was telling to go to settings that weren't even there. Does anyone have an updated userguide ?? I've tried setting it up twice and have been pulling out my hair trying to figure it out. Will it work with Decrypter?? or should I get the CCE Basic everyones talking about ?? that's the one for $58 right ??? Need help please, setting up Rebuilder Don't know how........
Huhhmmmm..... this is weird, it seems kind a odd to me. Have you tried backed it up on other media? Perhaps, you should consider some Fuji and TY by chance? Was it successfully backed up by DVD Copy 3 and can you played it on your computer player i.e. windows media, windvd, powerdvd, nero showtime? I've used Dvd Copy2 and Dvd Copy 3 back to back, however, I haven't have that kind of issue before. Thus, am sorta clueless to help you out on here. Hopefully, "Mort81" will be able to solve your problem soon.
hi dabig25, Perhaps, you can have a try on winavi dvd copy which works very fine for me! Besides, it is very easy to use! By the way, you can download the winavi dvd copy from http://www.winavi.com/download/WinAVI_DVD_Copy.exe . It is free to try!
dabig25, I don't know what you've got going on with DVDCopy3. It was one of the easiest proggy's to set up for me and very simple to use. You must have a software conflict of some sort. I know that Nero InCD and Roxio can cause some problems and would recommend getting rid of these if you have them. RB//CCE is very easy to use once it is set up, but can be kinda difficult setting up for first time users. There is an installer for DVDRebuilder. I'll see if I can find it. You will also need dgdecode.dll (decoder) (which comes bundled with the installer), AviSynth 2.5, and CCE basic (recomended) or QuEnc or ReJig (encoders). Read through this thread in the meantime while I look for the installer. You need AviSynth 2.5 before you can download and install DVDRebuilder installer. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/97052
Ok here's the installer. http://dvd-rb.dvd2go.org/modules.ph...ls&lid=48&ttitle=DVDRebuilder_Installer_v0.74 Here is AviSynth. make sure you get vs 2.5. http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=57023 Here's CCE. You want CCE basic. http://www.cinemacraft.com/eng/ CCE SP has a free trial but you can onl encode for ten minutes (I think) so you can't really tell what the proggy is capable of. If you buy CCE SP it costs $2000.00 where as CCE basic is $58 and uses the same encoder, just not all the bells and whisles as SP. SP is for professional use only and would never benefit average Joes like you and me. Marty
the trial version of CCE Basic is the one that only lets you encode a few minutes. If you get the SP version trial, you can do the whole movie but it leaves a watermark on the movie. Just fine though for checking out the quality. I had problems setting up Rebuilder at first using the guide (before there was an installer, or at least before I knew there was one). The trickiest part is where to put the links to other software. If you're not using the specific version of CCE they specify, put that link in the other encoder spot. That was the toughest one for me. Mort how are ya buddy?
Hi squiz, Yeah you're right, you just had to point that out and make me look bad didn't ya. I never used any of the trial versions, I just jumped in head first and bought CCE basic. Batch processing with RB/ CCE right now.
