Hi, I want to convert some music videos to burn on a dvd for my sister. The videos are in mpeg-1 format and have a sample rate of 44khz. I think i read somewhere that i can burn mpeg-1 videos on a dvd but i am not too sure. The video resolution is 352*240 if it matters.
does the resolution of the video really matter? and can you point me to a guide of converting mpeg1 to 2? thanks
You can create VCDs or DVDs with those files. Yes the resolution matters. To convert from MPEG1 to MPEG2 use TMPGEnc. Look in the Software section. Try using the search facility. "Convert MPEG1" will give you several ideas...here is one: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/78372 Adder.
If you have Nero Use NeroVisionExpress this is the easiest way to make your videos. If you dont have Nero download the full trial version
NeroVision Express is your best bet. And you probably will be burning them to CD-Rs (VCD or SVCD)instead of DVD because the bitrate won't qualify for DVD.
