How did you format it? if you use windows to format, you messed up the hdd. Then you need to reformat the hdd by using xboxhdm1.9

As you know xbox'x hdd is FATX (UNIX format), not FAT, FAT32. Well if you can still do hotswap, you can fix it.

Install mhackxbox correctly, xbox will work.

 

omg i cant beleive this !! i used explorer 360 to delete the files in partition 1-4 then all i have to do is add the 3 and 4 partitions from mhackxbox right? i had problems deleteing the files it took a long time and the 360 keept not responding so i unpluged the ide 2 and plugged back in the xbox ide cable and powered down with the partions empty ... now when i try to load 360 its saying its missing some ddl file .... whats going on here ????

 

360 wont start says cannot locate file MSVCR71.dll and im kinda stuck... u think i need to repair the hd??? i thought i was doing so good too !!!!

 

it is your windows
google that file and download it
Put it in SYSTEMS folder in windows directory
xplorer360 will work again

do you have that problem with all explorer360? If yes, then try to do hotswap with xboxhdm1.9

The C and E folder inside the lunix folder => put the mhackxbox C files in to C folder and E files into E folder. Make boot disk.

xboxhdm1.9 has the option to copy those file to C and E drive.

i have another question .. what is the nes emulator iso and the xbox media center iso used for in the mhackxbox ??? i see it on my xbox hd ... but i cant seem to runn any of them ... but i can play burn games ... i just wanna play emulators ... does the x box read regular cds??? i wanna run xbox media center instead of the mhack soft mod what do i do????

 

yes, you can run emulators from xbox HD or DVD.
- first download emulators software like NES, SNES, etc...
- download roms
- put all the roms in ROMS folder of that emulator software
- now you can make the iso of that emulator and burn it to DVD.
- OR you can ftp the emulator to xbox hdd in the GAMES directory.


for XMBC, download it and ftp to xbox. YOu can put it in apps folder or games folder.

 

ok i was able to burn the emulators and put them on the xbox with dvd2xbox.... i have a question about making the new hd for the xbox ... i know u say to always make sure to plug the ide cable back into the drive before powering off ... so what do i do ... i put the xboxhdm disk in and make the new hd then should i have the new hd plued into the pc power supply ? i made the new hd but the xbox didnt read it .. do i have to lock it ??? and once its done do i just plug it into the xbox and go??? im kinda confused ....i dont have to hotswap the newhd but should i worry about wrecking the xbox hd when i disconecct it and plug in the new hd???

ok now ive opened the next x box im trying to mod and it looks very different inside i disconnect the dvd drive and the power and when it boots i get an error code 11 ... but i was looking for a 12 and the hd is staying locked when i do the swap .... whats going on here ????

 

ok. what wrong with the xbox?

connect xbox as normal. turn xbox on. which error code do you have? do you see the microsoft logo shown up under the big X?
