how to back up HD DVD ??

    i couldnt find a thread on a how to.

    i back up my normal dvds, w/ anydvd, shrink & decrypter.

    what do i need to backup HD DVD, what software and hardware is needed?

    do i need to buy a HD DVD burner for my computer ??

    please help out, thanks guys

    Hi,

    but I believe AnydvdHD can rip your HD DVD movie to your hard drive.

    Thats correct. Put them on your HD with AnyDVDHD.

    You ask about a burner. Are you intending to back up too HDDVD!?!?

    A bit more info on what you want to do and we may be able to better point you in the right direcion.

    do i need 2 go out n buy HD dvds or do regular dvd work ??

    as well for the dvd burner...does it have 2 be a hd dvd burner ?

    You can back up your HD DVD using various methods. if you want full 1080P resolution and playback on Ps3 or other Blu ray players i suggest AVCHD format using DVD DL. if you are happy with 720P then you can convert to a single layer DVD.

    You can back up to blu ray if you want but its not necessary or economical.

    I would not buy a HD DVD burner as the format is dead.If you dont know this then encoding 1080P video is prob beyond your IT skills.

    What is your intended playback method????

    I dont mean to be rude because i would like to help you but you must understand that there are many back up methods. If i knew what you wanted to do then i could help.
