how to reduce the bytes on a pre recorded movie

    i am trying to copy a movie i own but when i read the disc with decrypter the bytes are more than what fits on to the blank dvd
    and as i am a total beginer in computers i have no idea what to do could someone please help

    Hi jd6576, welcome to aD,

    As you say, this is a "Newbie" question and belongs in the "Newbie Forum".

    The vast majority of DVD's are DVD-9's and therefore if not being split between 2 DVD's OR being backed up to a dual layer discneeds to be compressed a bit in order to fit on a single DVD. This can be done without any noticable quality loss. Using DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter you'll have no trouble doing it at all.
