Sone never learn to secure their wireless networks. Makes me glad I am in the country and even then I still watch my connections, although I have it passworded. Many people either don't care or don't know how to password their routers.
mine is not passworded because of working on customers' laptops. i just disconnected the antenna so won't radiate very far as in maybe 10ft.
still just needs somebody like me with patience, a high gain cantenna and a good working knowledge of the cracking tools and i'm in.. not that sitting in your bins would be much use for downloading any pr0n like.. battery would go before 50% complete.. and then it's a matter of getting home stinking of your last fortnights pizza crusts and curry dregs ...hahahahaha It amazes me that these n00bs think they will actually get a serious answer on an open public forum when even the black hat sites restrict the info to known members.. I would have loved to help him.. really.. in a way that would set off the router intrusion attempt alarms and get the feds called.. then sit back and laugh.. Only thing we can't break into given enough time is bluetooth..unless the other end says "allow connection" we are locked out... and they ask that every time.. (yeah.. even wpa-psk is breakable given patience and other machines with authorisation connecting and passing keys back and forth.. did you know that?.. theres the clue n00bingtons needed to work out the method) My neighbours all had to get new routers eventually (replacing the bt-hohub.. pimping your net to the hood:lol to keep the "unknown hacker" out.. then half of them asked me to set them up.. how cool is that? Stupidly 90% of the people running wireless had their one and only pc on the same table as the router..
