    Hi guys
does anyone know how to sort this problem on a genuine s/v 1 box.

personally i have loaded firmware many times into these box's

now i have come across a box that normally when it starts up you first get the green dashes across the screen the it goes to on. at this point you load the firmware.

what the problem is this box starts with the dashes and then freezes before the ON comes up unabling me to put the firmware into the box.
If I connect the box to a tv all that comes up on screen is THE BOX

has anyone come across this problem or does anyone know how to rectify the problem. I would appreciate any help.

You have updated with the wrong version , you will need either CryptStarv2.57 for Clones or CryptStarv4.00 for genuine Starvi*w 1

if the box logo comes up on a genuine starview 1 you have flashed the box with the wrong firmware

thanks guys but i have been trying to put this s/v box right for someone else.
you are quite right I also believe someone has tried to update this box but they have put in the wrong firmware IE: "the box"

I have tried to flash with the correct firmware but now it will not flash,

As i said previously when you start it up the green dashes start then it freezes on a dash. I hope I'm wrong but I believe they have f**ked it up
    any ideas guys

just to let you all know the s/v is now up and running again thanks to you sending the detail threads, I normally check threads to resolve problems but quite honestly I didn't, Its not that i was to lazy like some peaple to check first, I didn't think anyone else would have had this problem but how wrong I was :0(
It took about 15 goes before it kicked in then hey presto it worked

at least iv'e learned something new

once again many thanks for your help in resolving the problem

    cheer's guys
