    I agree as well.

This was a bit back up the page but I don't have internet access at home so there ya have it, anyway

I too have see the ranks close very quickly. You will find out who exactly is on who's side when they do. Longtime allies, or people you thought to be, may suddenly leave leave you twisting in the wind. I have twisted in the wind and it's not fun.

Its real sad but I have the same problem. There are also some @ work that I would not trust as far as I can spit, it makes for a unpleasant atmosphere. It is also one reason why I do not go to any company functions or socialise with anyone outside work. Some may say that makes me anti-social, I call it self preservation!

that's a big part of the problem too, the atmosphere at work is atrocious, yet it was like a completely different workplace when the person in question was away for a fortnight. even our boss (partially) noticed the difference. but then all back to how it was before. But hey, it's their loss at the end of the day :p

ditto to the social events too

I agree to both of the above. It's like a paid vacation when certain people are away. A cloud lifts and floats away, when they return the dark cloud comes back.

I too don't do the socializing thing with most, only a very few.
I try not to waste my very limited free time thinking about the jackholes that I have the displeasure of spending most of my day with.

note please make sure ye know what ye are doing..using this..

I AM GOING TO POST THIS,AS I HAD A PROBLEM THAT THE MAIN ADMIN ACCOUNT WAS ALWAYS LOGGED ON AT START UP....AND THE WELCOME LOG ON SCREEN WAS DISABLED..WITH OUT THAT YE CAN NOT SELECT USER ACCOUNTS AT START UP..
BUT IN WINDOWS YE COULD SELECT A USER TO USE THE COMPUTER..
BUT IF THE ADMIN IS ALWAYS LOGGED ON THAT A SECURITY RISK.

Note this was on a xp-sp2-test hard drive

THE PROBLEM I HAD,admin would always log on..no matter how meny users had accounts.and it would disable the start up welcome screen user select log on screen...

THIS IS A WAY TO BRING UP ADMIN ACCOUNT WITH OUT GOING INTO SAFE MODE..

After downloading and installing the program, run tweakUI.In the tweakUI window,on the left side of the screen look for "logon" expand the tree and you will see "Autologon" click on this.On the left pane of the window you will see a check box "logon automatically at windows startup" make sure this is unchecked.and the main administrator is typed in the box.

if checked the admin will always be logged on when the computer starts.

unchecked the user's welcome screen will then be displayed

also in the program ye can set what user the computer will always be logged on to..with out the welcome screen..

NOTE IF YE DO THE ABOVE MAKE SURE WHO YE PICK AS A AUTO LOG ON,THAT THE USER HAS ADMIN RIGHTS SO AS TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE THE SETTING BACK TO WHAT EVER..

    Tweak UI

    Secure' OnShare p2p beta

p2pnet.net News:- Britain's ZGroup now has the beta of Onshare, a free p2p file sharing service it promises is secure, online.

    here
    http://www.onshare.com/en_gb/cookies_required.php?ck=ok

OnShare lets users, "reach into friends' computer, grab whatever they want, "and use it just as if it were on your own computer," says the site. "And, if you have more than one computer, you can easily share between them wherever they are in the world.

"With OnShare, your friends appear as drives on your computer, meaning you can access their shared files directly from within Windows."

p2pnet had a few questions for Onshare. And here they are, together with the company's responses:

p2pnet: TestBed says, "According to a greyed-out advert in the software, unlimited transfers will cost £2 per month." Is that accurate?

OnShare: No, OnShare is a FREE software tool.

p2pnet: OnShare means file sharing, with all that implies, so have you been in touch with any of the software or entertainment companies for their reactions?

    OnShare: No, we have not

p2pnet: If you haven't, will you?

OnShare: Possibly, even though right now we are not concerned about them at all. OnShare is different from any common file sharing products and we believe that the software does not lend itself to illegal file sharing really (which usually involves heavy mp3 sharing). From our point of view entertainment companies have other problems than OnShare (they would not try to start battling email or usb sticks, even though content can be exchanged via those means! Same principle applies to onshare.)

p2pnet: You say, "No-one else can view your files or see what you are chatting about." The RIAA, MPAA, and other trade organizations, use various agencies to find alleged copyright infingers. Is OnShare immune to them as well?

OnShare: Yes. OnShare traffic is 2048 bit encrypted and makes it therefore impossible (it would take a couple of hundred years to crack the encryption) to intercept or decipher traffic. Also, OnShare traffic appears as normal http we traffic, so even ISP’s could not tell what users are exchanging.

p2pnet: Right now it's apparently good only for Windows. Will you be making Linux and Apple versions?

OnShare: We will eventually be releasing an apple version, but have not put out a roadmap and timing as to when that version will be launched.

    Stay tuned.

    Those smacktards
    Ban 'em all.. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/423992#2601709

    deserve what they get,
I realize it is against policy to post E-mail add's, but perhaps leave them up long enough for the proper authorities to take notice and send them a nasty gram or better yet an in-person visitation? Just like the guy who called a local police station and complained that his roommate smoked half of his pot and wasn't going to pay for it.

Do you think it likely though that anyone would take any action from reading it on the net though?

maybe, but we'd see them up there every time kids ask us if the moon's made of cheese or whatever. too late, one of them's up there already, the cheeky bugger's even using the cheese to fish with -
