    @pyffy...best of luck indeed pyffy! Stay safe....and so too with you Billybob should you read this ... best of luck and stay safe to both of you. You two have more balls than me; I'd turn around and get my a$$ out of there (if only for my lack of patience and distaste for large crowds). Hell, I'm never in such a hurry to get anywhere bad enough to put up with that sort of crap!

    Anyway, best of luck to both of you. Billyboy ... why not just swim in the Thames? Hell, water is water.

    Good morning Ireland and all! A little additive to the coffee this early in the day Ireland lol? ...hence the name "Ireland" perhaps?

    Ireland, I received some advertising regarding "DVDnextCOPY". I was going to start a thread somewhere to ask opinions but wasn't too sure where to put it.

    Would you know anything about it?

    @Ireland: I'll follow your advice and stick with what I'm using. I was simply curious. For all the complaining I've heard about XCopy platinum, I've never had any problems after having removed a couple of conflicting programs like "record now". Thanks.

    @gerry

    I used 321 XCopy for a lot of years and never really had any problems with the program except when the newer protection came out and my old version of XCopy could not handle it. It would sometimes work with AnyDVD. But DVDneXTcopy is the worst program, and the quality is bad, not worth the money....my two cents :)

    I uploaded some new Jizmak and GWAR pictures since some unnamed
    individual has accused my Nickname of bieng 'out of line' and
    childish,(Without asking the true meaning of my nickname.)

    You can find these on 'my afterdawn page.
    And if anyone else needs clarification, 'Jizmak' is the
    drummer for the band gwar.

    (Below is Anton Reemcobb taken from the gwar DVD 'Its $leazy'.)

    @Arniebear...thanks for the input. I'm using Xcopy platinum and problems are so rare they're not worth mentioning. My concern is that I've been thinking of getting a new computer but wouldn't be for awhile anyway .... a few months so I'm not going to really worry about it until then.

    The thing about DVDXCOPY Platinum is that it's so remarkably easy ... idiot proof which is what a techno-dunce such as myself needs. (I tried Nero once and I was ready to throw the computer out of the window in fifteen mins!).

    Is there anything else ...one click...idiot proof software like DVD XCOPY Platinum that you (or anyone else) knows of? I'm not one with a lot of patience ... I don't use my computer for the sake of conquering a challenge like some lol!

    FREE,
    MP3 DIRECT CUT..........mp3DirectCut is a fast and extensive audio editor and recorder for MP3. You can directly cut, copy, paste or change the volume with no need to decompress your files for audio editing. This saves encoding time and preserves the original quality, because nothing will be re-encoded. The built in recorder creates MP3 "on the fly" from an audio input. Using Cue sheets, pause detection or Auto cue you can easily divide long files .....(free).....GO THERE!

    @Ireland ...thanks again sir!

    @arniebear...I wonder if I'm the only guy left alive who still uses a VCR? I did want to mention one thing though on the off chance that you still have one. I have quite a few films on VHS which I recorded from DVDs and the picture quality is astounding ... damn near as good as the DVD itself and far better than the VHS flicks one bought off the shelf. I have no idea why copying a DVD to VHS will produce a quality better than the same movie bought on VHS but it does work well. Low tech is still useful sometimes....Gerry

    I still have a VCR, lol, but only now use it to transfer from my camcorder. But I even might chuck that as I found this USB 40.00 box that I can hook up to my computer that will allow me to transfer from camcorder or VCR to disk without a capture card. I got a Panasonic DVD Recorder that has the 60g hardrive in it so I can even hook that up now and transfer my TV shows directly. Ah, the joys of technology.

    gerry1, i would suggest getting clonedvd 2 with anydvd with your next PC its as easy as x copy plus it update for life ,meaning it can handle all the newer movies that come out with new protection. plus the quality is better than x copy and you can control the burn speed .here a guide

    i dont like to bitch but i think the saftly valve needs to go keeping it a "TECH ONLY FOURM" theres just to much BS in the saftly valve or at least do this. only senior members or above can start threads in the SV and they have to be ok(ed) by a mod FIRST before they can start. this would cause a lot less problems in here
