Here are the informations you asked for Flip: P4 3.00 Ghz Asus P4C800 Deluxe 1024K Ram Nvidia 5700 FX Windows XP Home Edition 120 Gb HardDrive At the same moment that you wrote the post asking me if i was able to burn a DVD-R.. I am actually trying. almost done with the dvdshirnk encoding.
Phys .. Phys .. Phys, Ya need to check my second post(second to last quote). When backing up dvd's you shouldn't run any other programs(even internet).
Phys, Check out this thread. ScubaPete wrote excellent instructions using Shrink and Decrypter. Last post on the first page. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/79846
Even internet? haha okay.. didnt know i was so restricted =) After the encoding.. the programs is trying to copy but i get the message that the DVD has not enought room.. It's normal.. how do i solve this?
Phys, Take a minute to look at that last link I posted. Also do what bigorange suggested "changing the target size to 4300"(we do this so we don't burn to the edge). To do this: And when Shrink is open, you'll see a green bar(if it's red it won't fit). If you see red, check your audio selections(you don't need both AC3 and DTS). I keep all AC3 and make sure DTS is unchecked.
Flip I read the excellent post you told me to read.. but there's a part i don't understand and can't find.. Here it is: Now, take just a second and under “Target Device” go to “Select target device” once there, select “ISO Disc Image”. NEXT, IMPORTANT, tick “Launch DVD Decrypter to burn the output image” box. Finally, where it says “Select target image file”, browse till you find your created folder for your backup and click “Save”. That’s it ! Click “OK” and DVD Shrink burns that ISO image to your HD. It then opens DVD Decrypter and has it burn the ISO image to your waiting blank DVD. I can't find those things, if you know, please tell me where it is Thanks a lot for your help, i really appreciate
You will see this when you click "backup!" Some will create a folder for their backups. I do have one but don't change any settings. By default, Shrink will put either a video_ts file or a ISO image in you local disk. From there I cut and paste into my backups folder(titled "my movies")
Okay thanks One last thing.. u told me to remove DTS and keep AC3.. but there are AC3 only but i still have some red in the bar of DVD Shrink.. the target size is at 4360 Mb as ScubaPete said.. but it's not enough.. Can i write 4500 as target size in DVD Shrink? If i do this.. i will be able to click "backup" without having the message which says something like :"no room enought.. might have difficulties to burn.. etc."
by default Shrink sets 4464 as the size, and that's pretty much burning to the edge. What dvd is this?
hmmm ... did you remove all other languages? That might help. And make sure compression is set to automatic. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Dell 8250, Pentium 4 2.80GHz 1.5 GB RDRAM, 200GB HD TDK 840G, Sony DDU-1612 DVD-ROM XP Pro, ATI All-In-Wonder 9000 Pro[/small]
there's french and english.. sure it would work if take off a language.. but i would like the entire disk, isnt that possible? here's what i have as audio in shrink.. AC3 2-Ch English AC3 5.1-Ch English AC3 2-Ch French AC3 2-Ch English.. i see that the first and 4th are similar (and both are 259 Mo).. can i unclick one of them?
Yeah but what about those 2 things which are similar.. AC3 2-ch English 259 Mo i get the same thing 2 times in DVD Shrink.. can i un click one of them?
Haha okay i will Well thanks a lot for your help flip, now i understand why you are "senior member" =) I'll try and give you more details later. Thanks man
