Thanks guys for correcting me. This site has a link to download the manual- https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/marantz/sc1000.shtml I found that downloading there is a PITA! As a result, I downloaded it and put it here for download- https://www.dropbox.com/s/eivobozbciaqovq/hfe_marantz_sc1000.pdf?dl=0
I'm a long standing member of hyfiengine, and I've already checked. The only copy they have is for the instructional user's manual which describes what all the knobs and inputs do. He needs a copy of the service manual which provides a schematic and list of parts which is different. The most complicated bit of information in the user manual is the flow or block diagram, which is useless for making a repair. He needs a circuit diagram and information on what capacitors or mosfets are used.
Details, details, details. I'm guessing the only place to get a "service" manual is from Sound United LLC if the marantz/phillips service manuals were archived. Perhaps, this outfit could help- https://www.audio-high-store.com/find-audio-service/inner-sound-repairs-hifi-gear/ By the way, I found one that was for sale 2 years ago for $3800 + shipping.
This site claims to have it but you have to signup and login to get it. https://www.audio-high-store.com/marantz-sc1000/
I had logged into that yesterday but couldn't find any manuals. Checked it again this morning. Maybe I'm missing something.
I went through many pages to get to the sc 1000. When I clicked on it, it said "no service manual at the moment." https://www.audio-high-store.com/marantz-sc1000/
