New card-box detection - Has anyone any ideas at all

Like everyone else, I have receieved a new card for updating in the digital boxes.

They state on the letter that you must confirm with them after updating the new cards.
Can they actually detect by means of a return signal the boxes or cards.

Have an additional box and would like to update but am wondering if they can detect this actual box or is it just the cards that are detected???

Have tried about 40 pages @ about 40 threads a page (goggle eyed now)on the forum with no relevant info at all.

Please any advice at all would be great...

 

all CC boxs have talk back, so if you have another box that needs a card it wont work, unless its a legit box and a card inserted,
