Hey. I was wondering if anyone knew how to turn a ripped .vob movie into a portable format - in other words, something highly compressed, specifically, DivX. (although other compressions are workable, as long as it plays in VLC)

What I'm trying to do backup many movie files onto ONE DVD that I can play on my computer. Ideally, I'm looking at a compression rate of 400 MB or less for every hour of video, so I can fit 12 hours onto a single DVD-R.

How would I go about this?
