    Hi hamillp
There's something up with one of the files that Recode doesn't like - would have thought that FixVTS or VobBlanker would have corrected it.

Try these files in Shrink instead.

Still doesn't work then just use Shrink only with the original dvd - should handle this one.

Give that a go and let us know.

    Thanks for your response.

I tried with shrink but it got an error as well.

"DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.

    Programming error --- exception occurred."

    Any thoughts?

Hmmm this is an older one so thought Shrink should be able to handle - error you get is saying otherwise.

Check the back of the disc - clean it off it needed.
If you have another drive I'd try that too.

Here's another program to try - uses Shrink, Decrypter and FixVts - RipIt4Me.

If you haven't recently I'd also do a disc defrag and clean up.

Well I did a defrag of the HD as you suggested and that helped somewhat. Now it comes up with an error at the very end of the movie when the credits are rolling. Very odd.

What's the new error? This one happen w/ Shrink using RipIt$me?
Or is it the same one?

What's the condition of the disc?

Maybe if you're not try reauthor & just do movie only. You can trim the credits out - may help.
