recognize powerbook dvd-r drive in viritual pc

    Anyone know how to make virtual pc 6 (connectix win XP hom edition) recognize the powerbook 17' dvd-r? It reads as dvd only. And can't recognize it as a dvd burner. Thanks.

    I'm with you. Can't figure out why VPC doesn't see it as a burner.

    I went out of my brain with this one.... running the same 17 G4 Super with Virtual PC 6 (6.0.1 update). After many chats with many forums/boards and finally Apple & Microsoft it can NOT be done. Virtual PC does not support "burn" but will play. No one can tell me why or if it will ever be changed..... sorry

    Thanks for the update. Now I know it wasn't just me. I tried everything I could think of and gave up. Oh well...
