Could u please give me a hint on how to do it, is it something u have to do in the firewall?

I can tell people exactly how to do it for a few 2 month trials. But here's a starter.

    1. Make sure all connections are blocked in whatever firewall you are using.
    2. Make sure you're host of the party you're in (it isn't the same as being party leader)
    3. Make sure you're host of the lobby at stage 2.

When u say all connections blocked, do u mean Bungie's and XBL's IP's? And is there a way of figuring out if youre host on stage 2 through commview? You don't have to give me details just say yes or no so i can figure it out. Oh and when you're making yourself host, can other people be in your party too, or is it a solo thing?

Block all connections apart from Bungie's/MS's, but they're all in a clump of 3 adjacent IP addresses since live went down for the 360 work in november. All you need to do is make sure that those 3 are unblocked.

Your method seems complicated, and actually my friend taught me how to get it in a different way. It has nothing to do with blocking, and u have to have search blocks on stage 2, then u do one more thing which im not going to say and if your timing is right u will get it garuanteed, and the timing isn't hard either, u just have to watch the screen for two things.

Well if you standby, it has the same effect as blocking all connections. You've got to do one or the other.

Ok, but i dont understand what u mean by blocking them, if u mean putting Internet on high, that doesn't work cos no one joins the game.

Ok, can you two continue this conversation via PM, dont want too many people learning hwo to self host ;)
@Mr_Bond Getting on XBL now, hopefully you're on. I figured out how to bridge myself host almost every time, and I want to see if I'm doing the same as you :)

I'll keep it in pm if u would be kind enough to share your theory with me, and i will tell u mine, when u mention "almost everytime", that is the same thing i'm experiencing, but the good thing about my method is that if i don't get host, someone else on my team ALWAYS will.

wow .... the same is just going to happen again ... a new cheat gets found out and then a month down the line EVERYONE will be knowing about it if you know how to self host dont say anything dont even drop hints because soon it will be just as many people giving themself host as it will be bridging and modding ... i have stopped showing people how to do any type of cheat what so ever its taking the p*** its going to be like the good old days of standby and no one will get a game. *** ALL CHEATERS OR PEOPLE THAT KNOW HOW TO STOP SHOWING PLEASE THE GAME WILL BE OUTRAGEOUS AND PEOPLE WONT EVEN BE ABLE TO GET A 25 LEGIT ***

Wow, so i there i was trying to get host in rumble pit, and i dont get it, so the game starts and this level 45 (team slayer) is booting whoever he wants WITHOUT HOST!

I was amazed, but he wouldn't tell me his secret, this is 100 times better than self host, because he can boot wether he has host or not!

    His GT: simbrit

    The game:

    http://bungie.net/Stats/GameStats.aspx?gameID=379617694&player=King Sinister

He booted StarEvil and Silent Rabit, ponti and i were nice to him so he didn't boot us, even though i would have, to guarantee at least 2nd place lol.

But, there might be more behind this than what meets the eye. I have a hunch he made sure 3 people (including himself) were left in the game, so that the game would count. Because i've booted in 2 pits and only left myself and one other guy left in the game, and the game doesn't count, it doesn't even show up in my games played list.

I don't know for sure, so i'm going to experiment by leaving 3 people next time.

Hey babs666, simmer down. I haven't given any bridging info out and have some ideas that I have been trying for self host. I'm willing to pay a two month to make sure I'm using the right method.

the only way ive found to permanently force host on myself is as they said earlier. i have 2 t.v.s, 2 xbox's, 2 computer's, 2 different cable modems(seperate ip's). i create a room and go do the same crap as normal and BAM im host. only way i can guarantee host to myself. sorry!

If you've got a superior connection, use a large amount of other connections, or so some kind of exploit, you can kick users off live, regardless of whether you're hosting or not. It is illegal however. Bridging host is merely against the ToS, but Denial of Service is illegal. If you can get his IP, report him.

ok here before this thread gets lock this is how you bridge your self host.

    first make your own party.
if you are standbying for someone get there ip and out it in trused
then put your firewall on high so you get host boxes.
hen put the firewall on low so people can join.
when it gets to three abd the yellow boxes disapear you click stop on zonealarm pro.
then when it gets to 4 and tou can see every in the game clcik stop agasin. there you jsut bridged yourself host.

the first time you do the person in your aprty will 99% of the time lad out. so dont be worried

First of all, way to bring back a dead topic.

[bold]xZx[/bold], yes you are talking about overloading the person with information causing them to lag out, but I'm guessing you dont know how to do it, which is why you posted what you did

[bold]mjfouline[/bold]Thats called standbying host, not bridging yourself host, and it is only successful some of the time. Usually, your timing is off and you either dont get host, or lag out.

And, before Creaky can get to this :).....

not to be nag but i do 99% fo the time and the other 1% is when you first do it with someone.

    and it always works
