    mikey you are using a hex editor to open these files you should be able to edit with same you know the way you would a batch file

    You seem to talk alot and most off it is RUBBISH.
    As for the comment me with the other team i am here to help everyone i also have a crapy dead clone flashed with 260 but om not bitchin about it, i try to help people so they dont end up the same, with a dead starview like me.

    i know but i mean an editor specificaly made for editing starview firmware. so instead of having to enter pages and pages of code you just tick a few boxes etc...

    How long ago did the information about clones and real boxes start coming out stupid question but i'm curious

    you know what - im going to put 300 on my clone, i thought i never would but ive got a funny feeling it will be ok but im not saying everyone should do this!! its totally your choice.

    nobody has come back with a dead box so far but that is not saying it wont happen ye early days

    the thing about clone boxes must be out 3months or so

    I've found out how to check if you've got a genuine 1st generation or clone CHECK THIS OUT

    The First Generation box came out in 2005. The clone box came out in 2006. If you open your box it is easy to tell if you have a clone or not. I have a genuine 1st generation box and have installed 300 API two days ago.

    people have seen these pictures before but they are still unclear as to weather seems the clones are not having the freezing on the v3.00 wher the real ones are for some reason

    its funny you should say first gen came out in 2005 all the boxes i have are 2005 and look identical to the picture of the clone one did you not say somewhere on another site if the board has GCR 3510 cx Rev B that it was a genuine box

    Also did you put your name to some of the bin files released as well or am i mistaken

    i cant see how a different heatsink would make it a clone! and to be honest, the clones heatsink is better than the other one!

    Its not that the heat sink is better or not. It is the point that the clone uses a different heat sink. If you have that Heat sink then other components would have been different included the processor.

    it doesnt mean that at all, it just means it uses a different heatsink! lets see some ics of the different cpu's
