Cheers for that. It's the real deal alright. Now, can I simply upgrade the firmware and away she goes, or do I need to manually input the codes on the fly ?
One other thing - is there a new GUI to manage the channels better ? Just wat to keep them in some kind of order and not have to edit 150+ channels every time...
    Thanks all
    C

you will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F which you can get in maplins or on flebay.
if your pc does not have a serial port, then you will need a USB to serial port adapter.(maplins or flebay again)

All firmw@re/loader can be found in eamos library here :
    http://eko.4shared.com/

    you`ll need the GTRom loader
which you will find in the st*rview softw@re folder in eamos library.
the firmware for st*rview 1 genuines is
    CryptStar-v1.4-genuine only
There are also ch@nnel dump files for your area in eamos library.

The R232 cable came in the box so I have that. Again, a dumb question but do I :
    1. Download the binary from the firmware folder
    2. Install which Channel Dump files ?

just click on the cryptstar-v1.4-Genuine only , & you can download it to your desktop from there.
As far as i know, the ch@nnel dump file is N*LDub 05012008.bin
    Not 100% sure.

Quick question, does anyone know where I'd get the null modem cable and USB adaptor in Dublin? Have been in DID and Power city over the past few weeks and they didn't have them in stock.

    Any help is appreciated.

Try Maplins/Peats although I heard they were sold out. Fleabay is a better bet, cheaper but you will have to wait a few days.
