STARVIEW UPDATING FIRMWARE - NO CODE BEGGING HERE

I have pretty much same problem as squink. Installed the software, did an automatic scan, followed your instructions as above and it's still lost most of the channels. Help me!

First time posting on this site as I can usually find the answers if I look hard enough!
I just got a genuine "the b0x pvr"
I'm n*l Dublin. I'm only gettin about 20 channels. Mainly irish ones.
Do I need to download the software?
I tried PVR loader v3.36 from a link given in this thread. It downloaded. I have my box attached and B-31 on the screen.
But where do I browse (if anyone knows the pop-upbox I'm talking about)
Any help is greatly appreciated.

scouser suggested trying your scan on a differant service provider. have you tried that

 

tried this as well but still not working..?

 

Help if you gave us some info, i.e your location and provider. Also are you doing the scan from the direct cable feed and not through a splitter?

hi guys can you help i have just joined this site today but i have had the pvr box since jan 08 without any problems

I had jul 07 firmware and i updated it to oct 07 firmware when i did a full scan it did'nt pick up utv,bbc1,bbc2,sky1,sky2

I believe all these channels are on the same frequency and even if i do a manual scan the signal strenght is perfect but it come back with 0 channels found

I had all these channels before i put the new firmware on

can someone please help and has these channels got new frequency's i'm in dublin ireland

Hi All i am looking for some advice please. I have updates a genuine Starview with the correct software. However the problem is when i connect to the Tv and try to scan in channels i am not finding any and getting a failed message
the series of events are

English > Installation
Choose Provider etc (N*L Dub)
Automatic Scan
Press OK
0 Channels found.

Please avise if i am missing anything

 

make sure your coaxil cable is in the cable input on the back of the box,also make sure your scart from the tv is in the tv scart on the back of the box and not the vcr

 

when i was updating my clone, it said successfully completed, but when i connect to the tv, the system information still says AUG 06. And its back to same problem no channels found on scan.

Turn EMU on
Set Default Key
press ok
Exit to s*y sports & let it update.

 

hi guys i know its the wrong page but can someone direct me to a good dreambox tutorial...have not got a clue and its sooo much more difficult that my good old starview!!thanks.

everythings grand noely!!the word spread about my genius in fixing our starview soo much that my fellas boss gave him this poxy dreampox and said after the weekend will be fine!!!!pressure!!and my internet connection is a bit wobbly lately so not helping!!hows things been here...all calm again i hope??

 

Havent been on for a while meself, just having a nose
Got a Sag3m db0x for the parents & i havent got round to flashing it yet. Doesnt look easy lol. I`ll have a go at the weekend.
Hope you get it sorted & the fella gets a pay rise lol.

I have followed all the instructions re-flashing my clone and tried the fixes also without success. I have even tried using a different computer and still no luck. Over 20 attempts on both PC's and still nothing. Can antone help?
