I have delt with dell on burner issue because I can not burn to a dvd+r only a dvd+rw. Tech support sent me a new writer stating mine failed. Wrong, still can't burn to a dvd+r just a dvd+rw. Any Suggestions?
I would assume Dell suggested checking the firmware update. If not do that first. You need to know who made the drive. Try dvdinfopro to fine out both drive make and firmware version. Its a free download. http://www.dvdinfopro.com. Jerry
