    1) If you save your channel file to the pc and open it in your "UFL Loader" you can look at (or print out) what channels are on each freq.

    2) Can happen sometimes, try pausing or stopping and re-starting program, works sometimes.

3)You can't do that on a DVD recorder either!

4)As explained on page 5 of this thread. Press the Yellow button and you will see all recordings set up so far.

I have to say it's much easier setting the PVR up to record programs than it is a DVD recorder. I have hours of recordings on my 120Gb HD and still only used 25%.
Just need to find the time to watch them all now.

lol, another major problem with recorders, people think they miss everything when they dont have one and then watch nothing when they have one, i don't even have a dvd recorder myself, everything is repeated so much there's no need!!!

True, but they are not always on at the time you want to sit down and watch.

I find it great for recording the older programs e.g. old Top Gear ones etc, then watching a few of them one after the other.

Hopefully someone can help me. These probably are stupid questions but I just received my Eurovox EX5000 PVR today and have downloaded the UFL v1.1 update as you have said but where do I get the channel update data from or do I need it? Also, is there a step by step for flashing this box or is it as simple as hooking it up with the null modem cable and pressing download?

Any help is much a appreciated.

Me again, sorry. How do I know if I have a clone or not? Are there any clone PVR's?

And again...what symbol rate should I be using to get the NTL channels in Dublin when tuning my Eurovox PVR in?

I promise this is the last question!!!

LOL no clones of the PVR, and 6887 for N** Dublin. Start scan at 290.000 and end at 420.000.

Bit of a mistake on my part there, it was the 120 I bought, anyway, got the 2 of them safe and sound, very good peice of kit.

I think the tuner is much better, well, for me it is anyway, and the PVR is quite easy to use too, it has been fully tested in my house by the family and they are all impressed, more orders will be going out for friends and other relatives, as I am always the first to get them and then once they see them they usually want.

There is less in the main menu now, I suppose the other menu's were no longer required.

    Anyway, enjoy everyone,

    Regards,

    Pete

Go to the channel you want to record from, press EPG, scroll to the program you want to record, press the Yellow button, press the Blue button to save & exit.

    The way I record is..

Goto channel, EPG, goto the program and hit record button in bottom right corner of remote.

Hope this helps, is just 1 less button press.

Yeah getting there with the record function, but i want to set up weekly events - similar to series link.... By hitting the yellow button you go into the timer screen.... I can change the channel and the time to start and to finish and even whether it is a one off or a weekly or a daily record... but not the date....

So short of waiitng till Friday - I cannot tell the timer to record anythign on Friday until the EPG is at least 24 hours closer to what i want to record....

I have to say that whilst I am picking holes in the box for the smaller investment of a hard disk it is a good tool.... Its just a shame that I have had Sly+ beforehand and expected something on par...

This is a very good video/dvd style recorder and with the ability to do weekly records it comes within a spitting distance of the series link function - once it is set up...

All I need to do is change the date... but it doesnt allow it... in 1.1a.... YET!!!!!!!
