you get the same as you had with your other box before it went to N3

 

What you really need is an encrypted tunnel - much like a vpn line.
Thats the way the starview and A780 should have been designed as it is virtually impossible to crack these. The problem lies in identifying the endpoint addresses and thats where the vulnerability in the server method is exposed.

As soon as the providers identify the data stream it is traced and when enough are linked they just ban the ip and the server goes down until a new ip can be found.
A p2p method sharing between clients would have been better but who knows what the future holds maybe they will get it right then the cable providers will be in the same position they are with bit-t users who know what they are doing.

True but its annoying missing the end of a movie or continual interruptions to service as the Starview 6 users have found.

If there is enough money in it tracing the servers won't be too difficult either.
Will be interesting to see how well the A780 does and how well it sells.

 

Starview do not have a good support team and that is their biggest downfall and that is why they have so much problems with their boxes and servers plus they lost ever thing in Ireland so that was a big blow to them as well.

Kryptview on the other hand is a totally different kettle of fish they have the know how and their boxes have been selling like hot cakes and also been running now since the intruduction of N3 in the uk they have one of the best supported box out there of any cable box.

Where first to crack N2 when it came out first of any of the cable and linux boxes they where also one of the first to hit N3 head on in the Uk so rest assure they know what they are doing and im sure servers are quite safe and out of harms way.

 

Yeah there really isnt a choice its the A780 all the way.

The old Starviews were not bad though but each model suffered from one or two annoyances so things really havent changed much lol.
Epg not updating, usb hdu recording a blank screen but it was worth the money in the long run.

I'm just a bit sceptical with the fact N3 hasnt been broken and its been out a while now and with the money "they" put into it I'm sure they are non too pleased with Krypt and Star so I'm waiting to see what salvos they fire broadside both legally and technically before I shell out another £149.

 

Is there another kryptview box that i can purchase that can view HD channels as vermin are adding them in one week from today. Was wondering if kryptview have a box that works like the a780 but will give the hd channels in full quality (1080i)?

 

No at the present time Kryptview do not have a N3 HD unit but im sure they will have in time

 

for cable the "starview hd combo" is the only 1

 

not for the cable side its not better on the sat side as they are up and down all the time on the cable side so until they sort this is would hold off

 

Starview combo the best cable and modem spot on sat connection sometime takes awhile . mine cost £250 with year off viewing i have met the guy he's good and helpful.

 

Should not take any time you should just be able to plug it in and it works the way the Kryptview box does plug in watch tv end of story all this fecking about with ip address on the Sv absulute pain in the arse if ya ask me

People just want to buy a box put the software on it plug it in and watch tv if that is what you want well buy a Kryptview box if you want to flap about having to sort ip out and waiting for it to work buy the starview box at the end of the day its your choice

its when something goes wrong with the item, see how many times he answers his fone or your e.mails!!

also that year of viewing is a rumer it may last longer it may not
and yes i even heard that rumer back in november "last year" before these boxes were out!!

 

typical example of one guy we had on here selling goods and when they became faulty he told the people he did not want to know go to afterdawn and see if they can sort it out for them

you remember cableboxesireland the very same person so be carefull who you purchase goods from remember all they need to have is a ready to go phone things go tits up so does the phone and they buy a new one

Luckily i got a 500s with cs and a motorized dish setup in preparation for this day.

 

Guys im a bitt bermused at the moment. If you go back quite a few pages you can see when new cards arrived in harrow and the date mine came i believe was the 14th of June. Its now August first with not even a single channel loss and its not just me but everyone in harrow? Whats going on its been nearly 7 weeks? Im beggening to think i shouldnt have bought a new box a few weeks ago as im now quite confused. I heard from a friend that someone had cracked N3 and so vermin will not send out new cards and may not switch over to N3 because its been cracked? As to whether this is true or just another n3 rumour is yet to be seen but has anyone got any idea why its been 7 weeks with not 1 channel lost and if so when the box will go dark and switch off?
