    hi

Not sure how i got here but i got here? isnt that odd? maybe not...

i read not post, erm? (ponder that thought)...

ok to post a question like the 15 spanglish ones mentioned takes about a day to get answered, taking into account writing/finding it/answering and everything else in between etc...

now to google (year 2005 techno drug) you get answers in what few seconds?

    well you get the picture...

i googled yesterday with a dead P4C800-E-Deluxe mobo, and now my frankenstein monster lives! with not even a single post! we just need to sort out the red ants from the black ants

Which do you want to be?

Oh light through yonder window pain shine

    -----------------------------

By the way guys like the thread!

laters guys, i need to google...............

Venom's post was good. However, there really are people who have no concept of what search is. If the mods, or others who are tired of seeing repetitive posts, direct the posters to this thread, instead of thumping them, the posters will learn quite a bit from Venom's post.

The search examples that you included in your post were great. I have done many searches where some of the stuff that came up, really had nothing to do with what I was searching for. Usually changing one word in the search, will make a huge difference. Learning how to do the search, properly, is not an immediate happening for most. It takes time.

We had a family holiday in Tunisia. We went into the desert & saw the dug out caves/houses where the Troglodytes lived. If you wanted to take a photo of the camels, the owner would demand money from you! I guess anything to make a living. They are bad tempered things, camels as well as their owners!, but are quite comfortable to sit on as you wander into the Sahara. To be greeted by small children trying to sell you Fanta or Coca-Cola!

LOL!!! You know, I think I finally figured it out! Yeah...I guess there are sometimes when I CAN be nice, I mean, it is kinda hard when my other self is so destructful! Hehe!

So, what I have done, was kinda "pushed" them in the direction to use the forum search and google. Did about 10 or so of them today, kinda went well. Now, I noticed that some other members were doing the same thing.

But if I see that someone is SO not trying...then hell, I am going to tell them to click the last link on my sig, and then wait to see what they say!

    LMAO!!!

Then to top it off, if they do a search and look for themselves and then they come back and have a good question, then good for them. This is just my personal mission, because we all see the same questions over and over again. Speaking of which, if I see another seperate GT4 thread, I think I am going to throw myself out of a 1st floor window! LOL!!! J/K!

Anywho...guess I should be off, to spread the word!

    ;P

    So...have a story for you.

I've been downloading alot lately, and recently got a movie that was in 2 parts. Well, I am used to just getting 1 .avi (xvid) file, but certainly not 2.

So, I looked around for a guide, well, found Virtual Dub. Cool! This can help me out since it says, joining 2 avi's. Ok, downloaded it, installed it...easy enough. Then opened my first .avi up...and BAM! get and error message about something for directshow and codecs. Well, now I have a problem.

Now, I come to aD, did a search under DirectShow, didn't help, then search the word codec...OH MY LORD...guess what popped up! So, I go through the codecs, however, there are so many, but I finally found one. So, I d/l'ed it. Installed it, then opened up VD...and guess what...HELL YEAH!!!! It worked like a charm, not only was it really quick, but hey, it was really easy. And not I have 1 .avi file.

See, people, that is the miracle of the word SEARCH...you never know what you come up with...now, I understand what I was trying to do, and know what codec means.

Alittle side not...when I did the search, I also found this:

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/179021

Guess using a search goes along way!

    ;)
