I burned Casino royale no probs. tried the same route with The Departed and add the Files to the compilation and it gives me a Video files reallocation failed message it will allow me to continue burning but I have feeling it would be a waste of a DVD, can anyone shed some light on this problem thanks in advance...:)

    Hello.

It may be that the files are somewhat dirty due to copy protection. What did you use to rip the files? Did you process them through FixVTS after ripping?

You could always try Ripit4me which will do all the cleaning for you. It's also free. Link is to a guide with software links.

You see I dont have the movie actually on DVD the movie was downloaded directly to my computer and I notice that Ripit4me requires you have the actual DVD in ur drive ?

You don't need ripit4me. That's primarily for backing up a DVD.

Can you open the folder in DVD Shrink? If so, do that and create an ISO image file after clicking the Backup! button. If that works, burn the ISO image file with either Nero or ImgBurn.

If that doesn't work, use IFOEdit to repair the structure. Open the IFO file, and click on "Get VTS sectors", then click "Yes" to everything it asks.

Used IFO edit not sure what it did ,does anyone know a program that can remove all the protections on the movie files in my Video_Ts folder, movies has been converted using ConvertXtoDVD..is this even why I keep getting a Video files reallocation failed message when trying to burn using Nero?

There wouldn;t be any protections on the files you downloaded. IFOEdit should have corrected the allocation problem if there was one. The DVD video folder should have an IFO file, a BUP file, and several VOB files.

Try using ImgBurn to burn the folder if Nero balks..

Use the Build mode, select the folder of DVD files, and create an ISO file.
Then set the mode to Write, select the ISO file, and burn.

You could also import the folder of DVD video files into DVD Shrink and create an ISO file that way as well. This should also check the compliancy of the DVD file allocation as well.

Links to software are in an earlier post.

I've been using anydvd / clonedvd and dvd shrink for a looong time. No problems. If a movie is still too big, then i just re edit and burn just the movie...no xtras, but, with casino royale even after trying to burn just the movie, it's still 5.8 gig. How can I shrink it enough to get it on a 4.4g dvd? Dvd shrink won't let me shrink it any further. I'm in the process of burning it to a dldvd at the moment....and hoping it works.
