Hope this is not a dumb question.

When the codes no longer work how do I know whwn to download the firmware. I have a Eurovox and the codes stopped working today 8th Jan 2009.

This is a great link for updating firmware on the Eurovox that i have used in the past. But how do I know when the firmware is ready to download?

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks for replying.

Yes I did update the firmware in Dec but the codes are gone again today. I'm in Dublin on *TL

What I'm trying to work out is how long it takes for new firmware to get released. Have to confess I don't know how firmware works and what has to be done to it in order to cope with code changes.

I'm same area and provider as you. If you upgraded with the correct firmware it should be autorolling. I don't know much about eurovox, have you got it emu on, or auto update switched on?

Thanks for the advice Evastar and noelyf. I got the problem sorted.

Just so you know (in case it happens to anyone else)...

The Eurovox just froze yesterday - maybe the weather :) The controls/buttons on the box wouldn't work and the remote wouldn't work either. I plugged the Eurocox out and then back in again. That sorted the buttons and the remote but all the channels were gone. I assumed then the channel codes had changed. I did leave it on some channel like E4 but nothing happened until late last night. I changed to another channel and that channel got a picture and all was back OK again. Strange...

I really appreciate your help. Many thanks to you both.

No problem, glad you got sorted! :)

The boxes need a channel with a strong signal to update the codes, that's why it's best to try s*y 2, s*y sports etc!
