The Evox_M7.bin bios sucks, get the 4983 build from X2. Go to [IMG]

why exactly does the M7 bios suck? i use it with no problems, and so do countless other people. is this just an opinion or do you have some good evidence that supports your opinion of the M7 bios?

The only thing I know M7 bios doesn't allow is a HDD that is bigger than 137GB in size. X2 4981 & 4983 bios's do support this feature though.

Have you guys tried the new M8 bios (for versions 1.0 onwards)or the m8.16 (only for later version xbox's).

Yeah I've tried the M8 bios and I had to go back to X2 4983. M8 didn't recognize the games I have on my HDD (F). My Xbox is V1.5 so I couldn't try M8_16 since it's only for V1.6

Did you rename the bios to BIOS.BIN? When you burn, did you put extra data (dummy files) to take up space on the disc? Might be the type of media you used also. Try different brands and see, I used Sony CD-RW and it worked most of the time.

you can patch the M7 bios using evtool
to allow for 137gb support (LBA48)
