im using xp and rs232 null modem lead with serial port, on the box its just flashing dnld nothing else is happening.
If its not getting anywhere turn the box of unplug the cable, turn the box back on do a factory default then try again.
is the box trash? i have friend who has the same box but his front panels are diff to mine and my sis box, top right hand corner it says just eurovox on mine and on his it says eurovox max v, also under the led number is says max v on mine and on his it says digital satellite reciever, im beginning to suspect its a clone
Yeah your not the only one LOL. Post it in here, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/674371 I or someone will get back to you.
I was reading another thread for eurovox max v issues/advice etc but it seems to have been closed by moderator for people constantly posting codes. It seems that the boxes need flashing again as searching for codes, last firware ypdated was approc may this year, has there been a newer release since ? I think this has only happened today but wasnt around last 2 days so may have been before ?

there are different fronts on some of the max v's, i flashed 3 max v's just before, 2 had max v in bold writing in the middle of the box under the display, the other says max v on the right hand side in duller writing. both types flashed ok and are up and running
Yep, the earlier model Max V has it on the right hand top corner front, this years has it in the middle in bolder white, that's all that is.

Just tried this this morning & worked a treat, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Just a quick final Q, I notice you had 2 downloads on the max V 2008 section, the latter of which said 8% signal fix(when I looked at it through, it appears to be the same software as the first link you have in this section, is that correct?
